Our Commitment
GoldenGuard exists to protect seniors, and that protection extends to your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and account settings. When you use the scam-check tool, you may forward us the text of suspicious messages or emails so we can analyze them. We also collect limited technical data such as device type and general usage patterns.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the Service, analyze forwarded messages and return scam guidance, personalize educational content, respond to support requests, and improve our detection over time. We may send you safety alerts and account notices.
3. Forwarded Messages
Messages you forward for a scam check are processed to generate a response. We may retain anonymized patterns from these messages to improve accuracy, but we take care to remove personal identifiers. Do not include sensitive information such as full account numbers or passwords when forwarding a message.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and messaging providers), and only as needed to deliver the Service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our members. We do not sell your data.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep your data safe.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account information at any time. You can opt out of non-essential communications, and you may request that we delete your data by contacting us. We will honor requests as required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
GoldenGuard is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and we may notify you directly when appropriate.
